Installing Google Chrome 64bit on Ubuntu Wily Werewolf

There is a PPA repository for Google Chrome. This will enable regular updates.

To install the repository key run the following:

% wget -q -O - | sudo apt-key add -

To setup the repository run the following:

% sudo sh -c 'echo "deb [arch=amd64] stable main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google.list'

Note the update above to add [arch=amd64] since if it is missing, you will get the error expected entry 'main/binary-i386/Packages'

Finally to install the chrome browser run the following:

% sudo apt-get update
% sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable
